　　If you have always wanted to grow plants but don't have a green thumb,the Parrot Pot is just the right thing for you.It's a smart pot that grows plants itself,keeping them alive no matter how badly you mess up.

　　Priced at $99,the Parrot Pot has several kinds of sensors(感应器) that measure light,temperature and the level of fertilizer,making sure that the plant always gets what it needs.If it finds that more light,water or fertilizer is required,it will send the user a warning message through a smartphone app(应用程序) called Flower Power.What's more,it can actually water your plants using a tank filled with water.

　　The battery-powered pot is equipped to handle extreme water shortages.Whether you are travelling or you forget to water your plants,they'll still survive.It can hold over two liters of water,enough for most plants to survive a week.It can also switch to water-saving mode(模式),in which the plants are kept alive for three to four weeks without being watered.

　　"Equipped with various kinds of sensors,the pot knows exactly how to attend the plant.If it needs water,the pot will water the plant by itself.It runs on four AA batteries and it runs for almost a year," said Parrot Pot designer Vincent Bihler.The pot is an improvement over Flower Power,a device that can be connected to any pot to get similar updates.
