As a news reporter I have to work long hours and so I get less than five hours' sleep a night. I'm often up early in the morning searching for news, and then working late into the night. I'm an energetic person most of the time. However, I find the only way I can function (运转) properly is by taking a regular nap (小憩) during the day. I usually drop off at once. I can generally only get away with fifteen or twenty minutes at a time before the phone rings.
