例1The dictionary is being printed and it will soon ________.

思路解析：本题考查的是短语动词（动词不同，而副词/介词相同）的区别。根据句意"这本字典正在印刷中，很快会出版发行的"，come out 有"出版，发行"之意，故选择答案B。turn out 意思是"证明，结果是"；start out意思是"出发，着手进行"；go out意思是"出去，（灯）灭了"。

绿色通道：对于考查动词短语区别的题，一定要把握好句子的意思，而且要对常见的动词与不同的介词或副词搭配所构成的短语以及其引申意义也要有很好的掌握。

例2 You will find as you read this book that you just can＇t keep some of these stories to ________.You will want to share them with a friend.

A.itself B.yourself C.himself D.themselves

思路解析：本题考查的是反身代词的用法。句中宾语从句that you just can＇t keep some of these stories to ________ 中的主语是you，要用反身代词yourself，故选择答案B。

绿色通道：注意反身代词在句子中可以作宾语，表语和同位语。有些动词需要同位语，例如:absent,bathe ,amuse ,blame ,dry ,cut ,enjoy ,hurt ,introduce ,behave。有些动词不需要同位语，例如:get up ,sitdown ,stand up ,wake up等。还要注意反身代词与上文提到的主语或宾语要匹配。

思路解析：本题考查非限制性定语从句，所以不能用关系代词that。又由于从句中谓语动词visited是及物动词，先行词充当宾语，所以用which引导从句，而不是用where引导，故答案为B。

黑色陷阱：本题容易误选A或C。主要是有些同学没有注意到本句是一个非限制性定语从句，而且也会因为忽略了visit是及物动词而错选Ｄ。

例4Unless ________ to speak ,you should remain silent at the conference.

A.invited B.inviting C.being invited D.having invited

思路解析：本题考查的是状语从句的省略。完整的条件从句应是Unless (you are) invited to speak，根据句子的意思"除非被邀请，你最好在会上保持沉默"，所以应该用被动语态。故答案为A。



思路解析：本题考查的是名词所有格的表达。当无生命东西的名词是表示时间、距离、国家、天体、机构等时，后面一般加＇s构成所有格。若是复数名词，加"＇"即可。故答案为Ｄ。

黑色陷阱：本题容易错选B。有些同学看见不定冠词a,就会以为是单数形式的名词所有格。
