Step 1. Learn the words with the teacher.

1. Revise the phonetics. (use the card)

2. Let students read the words by themselves.

3. Ask some of the students to read the words and I will check the pronunciation.

4. Listen to the tape and read after it.

5. Read the words by themselves again.

6. Read the words in groups and check the pronunciation with each other.

7. Read the words together.

8. Learn the words together:

(1) Verb phrases: read a newspaper make soup

(2) use: (Vt) e.g. use a computer

(3) shop: (Vi) e.g. I usually go shopping with my mother on Sundays.
