定语从句(Ⅱ)

一、关系副词引导的定语从句

用来引导定语从句的关系副词一般有三个：where，when和why。

1．where

(1)由where引导的定语从句的先行词往往是表示地点的名词(如：place，spot，street，house，room，city等)。where在定语从句中作地点状语。where引导的定语从句还可以放在from后。

This is the place where the traffic accident took place.这是车祸发生的地方。

He helped me to find the building where our head teacher lived.

他帮我找到了我们班主任居住的大楼。
