BookⅡ,Grade7 Type 新授课 Length 45mins Designer Content The main task of this lesson is to learn how to ask and answer the questions about weather, and get students to grasp the key words about weather and enable to describe the weather. Teaching aims Knowledge aims:

Vocabularies:weather,sunny,windy,cloudy,raining,snowing;

Sentences:How's the weather (in sw.)?

It's sunny\windy\cloudy\raining\snowing.

Ability aims:

Enable to ask and describe the weather with aim-language.

Emotion aims:

Cultivate students' interest in English. Key points & difficulties Master the vocabularies;

Enable to communicate about weather with the aim-language;

Enable to hear and understand the listening tape in the book. Teaching methods Communicative teaching method;

Audio-visual teaching method.

Teaching procedure Step 1. Warm up (3~5mins)

Tell the students to read the vocabularies of Unit7 after the radio.

Show a weather satellite image to lead in the key word----weather and key sentence----how's the weather.

Step 2. Presentation. (25mins)

Lead students to learn the new words by their sense. Such as ask their feeling, show some pictures or play the audio.

To learn the new words, I'll divide the words in parts to help students to recite them, and encourage students to speak the word out by themselves.Then get the new words to make a simple conversation with the aim-language, and ask the students to practice it.

Check students study.

(1) Show some pictures, and guess how the weather is.

(2) Game.Teacher show a word to student A , and other students ask about the weather,then A draws a picture on the whiteboard, the others guess how the weather is.

Step 3. Skill training (10mins)

Show some pictures of different cities in different weather, lead students to know about how to ask the weather in some places.And work on 1b.

Show the tapescript and play the radio.Ask students to read after it and pay attention to the sense.Then role-play the conversation.

Step 4. Sum-up (5mins)

Tell students to summarize the knowledge we've learned this lesson,write down on the notebook. And make a report.

Have a quiz.

Step 5. Homework.

Recite the words we've learn.

According to the pictures on P37, make a conversation.
