I. 教学目标

1. Learn some key words and key expressions.

2. Help the students to gain a good understanding of the reading passage and use efficient reading methods to improve their reading ability. 

3. Help the Ss to master the reading skills-scanning, skimming, careful reading, ect

4. Get the students to learn how to talk theme parks freely.

1. Enable students to acquire the ability of learning new information efficiently.

2. Arouse students' great interest in learning English by reading, discussing, inferring and analyzing.

3. Enable students to understand the features of theme parks and promote their cross-cultural communication capability.

Step 1 Warming up

T: Hello, everybody! There are many famous parks in Guangzhou and other cities, and I'm sure most of you have visited some of them. Can you tell me the name of the parks you visited or know? 

Ss: Yeah. The Yuexiu Park, the Culture Park, the Window of the World, the Happy Valley. T: Quite good. Here I have a chart listing the famous parks in China and their English names, and I'd like you to remember them by heart. 
