教学重点:掌握本课新单词、句型和怎样描述一个人的外貌。

教学难点: 掌握正确运用have动词和be动词的描述人物外貌的方法。

五、教学过程:

(一)复习旧知

Step I. Warming-up:

  Play a game "Polly says...".Tell the Ss the rules:If Polly says touch your eyes/ears/ nose/mouth/shoulder/legs/arms. You should do it. If it doesn't say that, you can't do it. If you are wrong, you have to sit down. The person who does it correctly is the winner.

(二)新课导学

  找出三名外貌差异较大的学生来做比较,一个胖而高大的男生(a fat and tall boy),一个瘦而较矮的男生(a thin and short boy),一个中等身材(of medium height)。然后用这三名学生为例教heavy, tall, thin, short引出句型:

1. What do you look like? He's really tall. He has short straight hair.

2. What does she look like? She's of medium build.

Go over the spelling and the pronunciation of the new words with the Ss.

  1. Match the words with the people in the picture. (1a) 2-3分钟读写1a中的单词、短语。
