In the end, the local council⑭ took action⑮. "It was only after careful consideration that⑯ we gave Yang Ming a warning," a council member said. "Getting enough sleep is important for people's health and after such a chorus of⑰ complaints, we had to take action."

Yang Ming's departure⑱ has pleased his neighbours. "Life will go back to normal⑲ now," they say.

For Yang Ming's version⑳ of the story, we found him in the lounge\s\up1(21(21) of his suite\s\up1(22(22) at Shanghai's Holiday Inn Hotel. Yang Ming feels that his rights have been ignored\s\up1(23(23). Yang Ming hates being called an alcoholic, but it is the fact that people have classified\s\up1(24(24) his music as "noise" that upsets him most\s\up1(25(25). Otherwise he doesn't really mind\s\up1(26(26) having to leave his apartment. "Living in a hotel means a maid\s\up1(27(27) makes my bed every day and I don't have to do my own laundry\s\up1(28(28)!" But how long will the hotel tolerate\s\up1(29(29) him? We wonder.
