S: It's a math book.

Match the pictures with the words.

Purpose:让学生在学习本课知识前先感受本课新单词,通过炸弹游戏迅速让学生了解每个单词的发音,引起学生学习的兴趣,再以一个"我说你秀"的活动,让学生们掌握单词的中文意思。学生"动口,动手,动脑"三管齐下,巩固单词,已达到本课的教学目标。

Step 3 Presentation

① Present the drills.

T: We have many subjects at school, What's your favorite subject? 你最喜欢的学科是什么?

S1: English.

S2: math.

T: Yes, you can say"My favorite subject is English."

T: And when you want to know the reason, What should you ask?

S: Why?

T: Very good, you can say"Why do you like English?"

We can use "Because......" to answer it. For example, Because it's interesting/fun/relaxing/easy.

② Listening 1b

T: We will have a listening, they are talking about their first day at school. What are their favorite subjects? Listen carefully and circle the subjects that you hear in 1a.

T:Check your answers. And repeat the conversation.

Step 4 Practice

Practice in pairs by asking "What's your favorite subject?"、 "Why do you like ...?"

T: We know two students' favorite subjects. What's your partner's favorite subject? Make a short conversation in pairs.
