In detail

Step 1 Lead-in (2 minutes)

  Draw Ss' attention to the topic of the text--- Yang Liwei by asking a series of questions:

  1.Have you ever read any books about some great explorers?

  2.What kind of person can be called "explorer"?

  3. Who is the typical example in your mind? Why?

Step 2 Fast reading (8 minutes)

1.Show a picture of Yang Liwei to the students and a short video of his life and career
