6、show up:突出、显眼;出席、到场

e.g. The police found the witness to the murder case.

* wit:机智、聪明、才气

English-speaking, cold-blooded, warm-blooded,etc.

10、frightening:令人惊吓的、恐怖的; frightened:惊吓的、害怕的、受惊的

e.g. The film was so frightening that all the students were frightened.

The dead body lay there with a frightening / frightened expression on the face.
