check(look at carefully in order to make sure that it is correct ,safe ,satisfactory or in good condition)意为"检验、核对"，强调检验、核对是否正确、适合规格等，有make sure之意。

test(examine and measure the qualities of sb./sth.) 意为"检验；考试"。
