Step 1 warm up

1、 Let's sing a song----Monkey,monkey, what are you doing?

2、 Check the new phrases between groups.

Step 2 Presentation

1、 Let the students teach the new phrases,then play a game according to the PPT.

2、 Match the activities with the pictures,and finish 1a. Then check the answer together.

3、 Pair work: Show some pictures through PPT . Then ask and answer between the teacher and students.Then make conversations according to the pictures.

Practice some new phrases by using Present progressive tense.: watching TV, reading a newspaper, talking on the phone, listening to a CD, using the computer, making soup, washing the dishes.

Step 3 consolidation

1、 Doing a listening task: What are these people doing? Finish 1b.

2、 Group work: Have a discussion---Present progressive tense.

Discuss in the groups . Pay attention to the change of the verbs ,then show the results.

3、 Play a game. Here are three boxes .Let the students pick out three cards from the three boxes ,then make sentences by using -ing
