1、hesitate v．犹豫，迟疑

(1) hesitate about/at /over doing sth. 做......犹豫不决；关于......犹豫不决

 hesitate to do sth. 迟疑于做某事

(2) hesitation [C] 犹豫；踌躇；迟疑；不情愿

 have no hesitation in doing sth.毫不犹豫地做某事 without hesitation毫不犹豫地

2、doubt n．& v．怀疑；疑惑

(1)I have no doubt that...我确信...... I have some doubt whether...我怀疑...

 in doubt怀疑，拿不定主意 no/without/beyond doubt 无疑，必定

(2)doubt if/whether怀疑

①There is ____________________ he'll be successful. 毫无疑问他会成功的。

②I have _____________________he'll be successful. 我对他的成功有些怀疑。

(1) doubt作动词，后跟宾语从句。在否定句和疑问句中，doubt后跟that引导的宾语从句；在肯定句中，doubt后一般跟if/whether引导的宾语从句。

(2) doubt作名词，后跟同位语从句。doubt用在否定句中，后面接that引导的同位语从句；doubt用在肯定句中，后面接 whether引导的同位语从句。注意不可以用if代替whether。

3、direction n．方向；(pl.)指南，说明书

(1) in the opposite direction朝相反方向
