Step Ⅰ Lead-in

Introduce some knowledge about American flag, The White House, The Statue of Liberty to students.

Step Ⅱ Warming up

Ask the students to turn to page 1 and look at the map of the USA and talk about it in groups of 4.

Then write on the map the names of the oceans, countries, mountain ranges, lakes, rivers and big cities. At last, check the answers with the whole class.
