1. Lead in: 由Dalong and Dalong's holiday引出a postcard from Dalong.

2. Listen to activity2, point and find out Sam's questions:

  Does he live in New York?

Did he live in New York last year?

Did he travel by plane?

Lead students to read the questions and the new words (live in, travel).

3. Listen to activity 2, point and find out the answers of the above questions:

Does he live in New York?

No, he lives in San Francisco.

Did he live in New York last year?

No, he didn't. He lived in Washington dc.

Did he travel by plane?

Yes, it says "I came here by plane."

At the same time, introduce the new words: came, San Francisco, Washington DC.

Teach students to read the above words and sentences.

Students read the words one by one.

Read the sentences together.

4. Read activity2 and find out the sentences to ask the past things:

Did he live in New York?

Did he travel by plane?

Lead students to speak out how to answer the above sentences.

1. Show some cards and ask students to choose the right answers.
