1.in order to等作目的状语

In order to learn English well,he attended a summer course.

为了学好英语，他参加了夏季培训班。

He works hard in order to learn English well.

为了学好英语，他很用功。

They arrived earlier so as to finish the work on time.

为了按时完成工作他们早到了。

He left early in order that he would/could arrive on time.

他早早动身为的是按时到达。

We got here to help him.

我们来是帮他的忙。

in order to,so as to,so that,in order that

都可以作目的状语，但在用法上有差别：

①不定式作目的状语，不如in order to do sth.强烈，若把动词不定式的逻辑主语表示出来可构成in order for sb. to do sth.。

②so as to引导的短语也可作目的状语，但不位于主句句首，而in order to和to do sth.可放后主句句首及主句后。若不定式的逻辑主语与主句主语不一致，则改用so that或in order that从句。

③in order that与so that都表示"为了"，引导目的状语从句，可通用，且从句中多常用情态动词。in order that从句中多用情态动词may,might,shall及should。
