一、教学目标:

(一)语言知识

1.能理解、熟练认读生词: Thanksgiving Day, Flag Day,fly, special, meal, sound, football。

2.能理解和认读下面的句子:

(1)Can you tell me more about American festival?

(2)Thanksgiving is my favourite festival.

(3)What do you do on Thanksgiving Day?

(4)We always have a special meal.

(5)We say "thank-you"for our food, family and friends.

(二)语言技能目标

1. 能阅读、理解、朗读课文;

2. 能用口头运用"We always have a special meal. We say 'thank-you' for our food, family and friends."这些句子介绍相关节日的活动。

(三)情感态度目标:

1. 能谈论和描述课文所介绍的节日,并产生对其他的西方节日的兴趣。

三、教学过程:

(一)、导入

1. Greeting (师生问好).

T: Good morning, boys and girls. Are you happy today?

Ss: Yes.

T: Today we will talk about some festivals. First, let's sing a song together.

2. Sing a song 《we wish you a merry Christmas》

T: Now let's look at a picture. Can you guess what the festival is?

Ss:. Christmas Day

T: You are very clever.

3. T:Christmas Day is a important western festival, What else do you know about western festival?
