1.Warmer

Prepare some large word cards with the names of the days of the week. Rest them against the board or stick them on the board. Have the student come out to the board and put them in order.

2.Then clap and repeat the words to practise the nemes of the days.

1.Listen point and say

After listening to the tape,write the question 'Does the cats like meat?'on the board.

Ask the students to look at the sentence and remember it. Focus on the structuers of the question.

Then replace all the words in the sentence with numbered gaps.

Call out a number and ask the student to recall the word. EG: T: what's number1?

Ss: does . T: what's number1? Ss: the.

2.Listen and say

After listening to the tape, write the words 'goes'and 'plays' on the board.

Under line the 's' in the both words and repeat the words several times. Have the stdents repeat the word and emphasise the /s/sound.

3.Point ask and answer

Ask the students to draw a picture of their mum on Ssturdays.

Write 'Yes,she does.' 'No, she doesn't.'on the board.

Practise the question 'does your mum go to work on Saturdays ?'round the class.

4.Listen and say then chant

Before saying the chant.

Get the class look at the picture and describe them in Chinese .

While saying the chant

Play the first version of the chant and have the student listen and point to the days.

Play the second version and let the students say the chant as they say.

After saying the chant

Write the chant on the board . ask the student to change 'Tuesday'into different days of the week. Then have the students say the chant again.

5. Play the game Guess ask and answer.

After reading the example in the Student book ,write the days on one side of the board.

Write some familiar activities on the other side of the board EG play football ,play table tennis , skip , ride a bike . go to school.

Have four students come out to the front of the class, two standing on each side.

Have Student A point to a day and an activity.

Make a poster of family members Saturday activities.

Homework: Make a survey with your parents. Greeting to teacher for the warming up.

Look at the board that the teacher set the list of the name, put them in order.

look at the sentence and remember it. replace all the words in the sentence with numbered gaps.
