1.Warmer

Introduce the school subjects. Draw a symbol on the board for each subject.

Example:

Chinese-write some Chinese characters

English- write some English words.

Maths - write an eqution.

Music - draw a musical note

Art - draw a paintbrush

Science- draw a test tube

2. Wwrite the new words on the board and have the students repeat them.

3.Get a copy of the class timetable for today.

Write a copy in English and if possible ,write on the board in large letters for the students see.

4.Get the students to look at the timetable and ask questions about it.

EG: T: Ddo you have English today?

Ss: Yes , we do.

T: Do you have Music today?

Ss: No , we don't.

2.Listen and say

Say,'what does Lingling have at school today?'

Write 'she has...' on the board together with the words 'morning' and 'afternoon'.

Ask the students to remember Lingling 's school timetable and turn the student's book over .'

Call out a subject EG: maths.

Prompt the class to answer together ,'she has mathes in the morning.

3.ask and answer

After the oral practise ,write the questions and answer on the board .then erase the verbs in each sentence and replace them with lines in the gaps .

Example:

What ________ you _______ in the morning.

Ask the students to remember the word s .have the students complete them on the board using coloures chalk.

Highlight the difference between the forms of second and third person singular questions.

4.listen and say, then sing.

Before sing the song: have the students look at the song . ask them which word is spelled out in the song(school) .

Ask the students what the song will be about(school) .

While singing the song: play the spoken version of the song and get the students to repeat the words.

After sing the song: have the students talk about the things that they like at school . write their suggestions on the board.

Homework: Make a survey with your parents.

Greeting to teacher for the warming up.

Look at the board that the teacher set the chart on the blackboard.

Repeat the new words on the board.

Copy the class timetable for today.

Translate the timetable into English .

Ask and answer the questions of the subjects.

Practise the question 'does your mum go to work on Saturdays ?'in the small groups.

Prepare for the saying the chant.
