Step1:Warm up:

  1.Greetings

  2.Sing the song of M7.

  3.Read the new words in groups.

Step2:Activity 1

T:Today , we'll talk about M8 U1 : Why do you have cups on your heads?(领读课题)。

T:First ,let's look at Activity1,课件呈现活动一的图片,询问同学们: Why can't Sam see his bag?

After listening ,ask one student to answer the question :"Because it's under his bed."(告诉学生why 的问句要用because来回答。)Then listen and repeat.

Step3: Activity2

1.(播放第二部分的动画) Listen and answer: What questions did Sam ask?

Then ask one student to answer and let them read the two sentences one by one .Make sure all of the students can read them freely.

2.Listen and repeat .

Listen and repeat one sentence by one sentence and let them pay attention to the pronunciation of the past tense words

3.Read by themselves.

1.) Let them read and underline the words that they can't read. Then solve their problems in class.

2.)Let Ss read the past tense words in class.(注意ed的读音)

4.Read in groups.

1)组长领读.Make sure all of them can read the text. The teacher helps them if needs.

2)生自读课文

5.Act it out in class(此环节可把文章按图片分为三部分处理。)

Step4:Part3

Let students to recite the sentences and check in pairs.

Step5:Summary

告诉学生们描述过去的时间应该用一般过去式,但人物说的话在引号之内的要用现在的时态。Let them read the past tense verbs.

Step6 Exercise in class

1) Do the exercise by themselves

2) Check each other in groups.
